Kagurazaka Shrines
Kagurazaka is home to two of Japan’s most famous temples and shrines, one of which is Akagi Shrine. Akagi Shrine is one of the most famous power spots in Tokyo for its blessings for prosperity, elimination of bad luck, and academic success. It is a historic shrine with a history of more than 700 years, and was one of the three shrines important shrines in the Edo perdiod along with Hie Shrine and Kanda Myojin.
The other is Bishamonten Zenkokuji Temple. Bishamonten is a deity from India who presides over the protection of the north as one of the Four Heavenly Kings. Bishamonten, also known as Tamonten, is one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, who literally “listens” to the wishes of worshippers and bestows blessings on them every day.
