Motohiro Yasui 安井基洋
Born in Kyoto, Japan.
In his 20s, he was involved in civil engineering and construction work, designing and constructing many two-story wooden houses, and in his 30s, he sold his detective agency and spent the next several years traveling the world and living in hotels.
Through this experience, he rediscovered the splendor of Japan in the world, and was fascinated by the splendor of Tokyo and Kagurazaka in particular, and impulsively acquired a property.
With his experience of staying in hotels all over the world, he designed his own renovation and opened Kagura House.
The concept of Kagura House is to provide a taste of very normal Tokyo life in Kagurazaka, a place with remnants of the Edo period (1603-1868), because the desire to experience true local life was always present during the trip.
